WAITING WHARF
How many people are there to return
From many ships going away
How many people are there to visit me
From many returning ships
How many times flamboyants have bloomed
And have borne fruits
One’s eyes become red due to waiting
For each ship’s returning
One who leaves gets flurried
One who stays is dazed with worries
Still you are the wharf
Where my life anchors forever
